Preparing for First Eucharist is a seven month, two-part process, that starts in October with preparation for the Sacrament of First Reconciliation (Confession). Children must complete First Reconciliation preparation to receive First Eucharist. To enroll their children, parents must agree to complete at-home lessons, attend Activity Learning Stations for both sacraments, and be present to experience the Sacrament of Reconciliation, First Eucharist rehearsal and Mass. See below for a more detailed description of the process and requirements.
Registration is open to registered parishioner families with children in grades 2 through 5 who were baptized Catholic.
Each child is required to be registered online and attend weekly Sunday Faith Formation classes. Parents should also complete a separate online registration to participate in the First Reconciliation & First Eucharist preparation process.
Catholic school children whose families are registered members of St. Bartholomew are not required to attend Sunday Faith Formation classes.
