The Ministry of Presence is a ministry that responds to individuals and families with appropriate emotional and spiritual support and provides assistance and spiritual guidance in times of need. This ministry includes bringing Communion to the homebound or hospitalized, and area nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Spiritual Direction and pastoral counseling and support is offered as well as funeral planning and grief counseling and support.

Eucharist to Hospitalized and Homebound

Trained Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC) volunteers provide companionship and support in times of transition and need. They offer support by bringing Eucharist to those who are unable to attend Mass.

Community Outreach

St. Bartholomew provides pastoral care to residents in the wider community, we have a long history of providing Mass, Communion Services and Rosary prayers to area Nursing homes and Assisted Living Facilities. If you know of a resident in the community who would like a visit from one of the Parish Visitors, call the parish office.

Pastoral Counseling and Spiritual Direction

Individual counseling, compassionate listening and spiritual direction is available by appointment from Christine Ducharme, Deacon Rick Witucki or Fr. Mike Van Sloun. We can make referrals to other helping professionals as needed.

Funeral Planning & Pre-Planning

Documenting the hymns and readings you want at your funeral liturgy is a tremendous gift to your loved ones. Include your wishes as a natural part of your estate planning. A booklet to help guide you through this process is available in the Narthex.  If you have questions about funeral planning, please contact Christine Ducharme, 952/473-6601.

Mass Intentions

Mass intentions are available throughout the year. Contact Peg, 952/473-6601, in the Parish Office to reserve a date.
