Sunday Preschool St. Bartholomew offers a Sunday Preschool program for children ages four and five. This Christ-centered catechesis aims to educate children in the Catholic faith and incorporate them into the life of the Christian community.
• Our parish catechists use the Pflaum Gospel Weeklies faith formation curriculum for preschool aged children. The Weeklies follow the liturgical catechesis method of instruction which integrates faith formation lessons with the life of the parish community experienced in the Sunday Eucharist. The content of the program flows from the Sunday Gospel and children learn their faith within the rhythms of the liturgical year – Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter and Ordinary Time.
• Children encounter Jesus in the Gospel through storytelling, prayer, learning activities, and song.
• Classes are held from September through April and meet during Sunday Masses in the lower level of the church. Parents can choose either the 8:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. Mass time for the year.
